I lead discovery and delivery at GTA Labs. You work with me to choose the workflow, make the important trade-offs, and decide what the result means for your business.
I am particularly interested in helping teams do things they could not do before: serve more customers, pursue more opportunities, or offer something new. A repetitive process is often the best first pilot because we can measure the baseline clearly. Both are welcome here.
How a focused practice handles delivery
A small practice needs clear commitments. We confirm the scope, start date, milestones, and client review time before accepting a project.
We define a useful first version, an operating boundary, and the checks it needs to pass. More workflows or a wider rollout are a separate decision.
Greg remains accountable for delivery. Your process owner supplies examples, explains exceptions, and reviews outputs. We agree that participation before scheduling the work.
If specialist work or extra delivery capacity is needed, we confirm who is available, what they will own, and the cost before committing. We do not assume an unlimited bench.
Documentation, training, access, and ongoing support are defined in the scope. Custom deliverables and any third-party licences are identified in the agreement so you know what you can operate and maintain.
We use AI tools in research, implementation, and QA. They help with the work; they do not replace human review or our responsibility for what is delivered.
Building through referrals since 2012
GTA Labs began when Greg left BMO and co-founder Alex Zhang left CIBC. The practice grew through referrals and delivered software across financial services, proptech, legal technology, aviation, and maritime.
That background matters when a useful new workflow has to fit the systems a business already relies on. We work with operating teams and involve IT, security, and other system owners where the project needs them.
Measure what the first project can prove
For an existing workflow, that may be turnaround time, cost per case, or fewer corrections. For an opportunity pilot, it may be suitable quotes handled or qualified enquiries, with a check on quality and reviewer effort. Revenue can take longer to observe.
If an existing tool or a simpler process solves the problem, we will say so. A custom AI build needs to earn its place.
Start with a focused pilot
Typically around CAD $10,000. One workflow, a useful working pilot, and an agreed way to judge the result. Fixed scope and price are agreed before starting; larger rollout and support are scoped separately.
